Running Wild | Vintage Film Series

Enjoy an evening of film and light refreshments at Logan Street Theater in Noblesville, Indiana.

"Running Wild" (1927) is a classic American silent comedy starring W. C. Fields as Elmer Finch, a timid and fearful man whose life changes after a bizarre hypnosis experience.

For this edition of the Vintage Film Series, Logan Street Theater is proud to present an evening of classic cinema in partnership with the Noblesville Cultural Arts Commission and sponsored by The Lacy Arts Building.

Renowned film historian and projectionist Eric Grayson (Dr. Film) will present the film as audiences experienced it nearly a century ago, while acclaimed pianist Roger Lippincott creates an original score in real time, improvising as the story unfolds on screen. It’s a score that will never be played exactly the same way again.

Before the projector starts rolling, David Heighway from the Noblesville Cultural Arts Commission will uncover a few unexpected connections between the film, the era that produced it, and the stories that have shaped our own community—adding another layer of discovery to the evening.
